Jamie Frasier – Owner, Operator & Head Guide
With over four decades of guiding experience in the Adirondacks, Jamie Frasier is the heart and foundation of Adirondack Mountain & Stream Guide Service. After starting the business more than 41 years ago, Jamie built it from the ground up through hard work, deep local knowledge, and a genuine passion for the outdoors. Long before launching the company, he was already guiding on his own—honing the skills and instincts that only come from a lifetime spent in the woods and on the water.
Jamie has done it all. From traditional Adirondack deer drives and upland bird hunting to backcountry canoe trips, remote camping expeditions, and year-round fishing, his experience spans nearly every corner of the outdoor world.
Over the years, Jamie has also built strong relationships throughout the Adirondack region, working closely with lodges, resorts, and camps to establish Adirondack Mountain & Stream as their trusted, go-to guide service. These partnerships reflect both his reputation and his commitment to providing high-quality, professional experiences for every client.
Known for his calm demeanor, sharp instincts, and ability to read both the land and the people he guides, Jamie has introduced generations of clients to the Adirondacks. His dedication to preserving the traditions of guiding while delivering unforgettable outdoor experiences continues to shape everything Adirondack Mountain & Stream stands for today.
Cody Frasier – Head Guide
Growing up in the heart of Adirondack guiding, Cody Frasier was practically raised in the woods and on the water. From a young age, he accompanied his father Jamie on trips, learning firsthand the traditions, skills, and work ethic that define a true Adirondack guide. That early immersion shaped Cody into the well-rounded outdoorsman he is today.
A proud military veteran, Cody brings discipline, leadership, and a calm, steady presence to every trip he leads. As one of the head guides at Adirondack Mountain & Stream, he spends much of the open water season targeting big Lake Trout and Northern Pike from his boat, putting clients on quality fish with a mix of experience and instinct that’s hard to match. In the fall, he shifts gears to lead deer hunts—often operating out of remote tent camps deep in the Adirondacks—where his knowledge of the land and game shines.
Cody’s background spans just about every outdoor pursuit imaginable, including deer, bird, and rabbit hunting, backcountry canoeing and camping, fishing, rafting, and even rock climbing. Whether on the water or deep in the woods, he brings a high level of professionalism, adaptability, and genuine passion for the outdoors—ensuring every trip is both successful and memorable.

Zach – Guide
Zach joined Adirondack Mountain & Stream in 2025, bringing with him a lifelong passion for the outdoors and a strong connection to the Adirondack region. Originally from New Hampshire, Zach grew up spending his time outside, building the skills and appreciation for wild places that continue to shape the way he guides today.
His true passions in the outdoors are fly fishing and hunting, and those pursuits are where his love for the woods and water really shines through. Zach developed an even deeper connection to the Adirondacks while attending Paul Smith’s College, where he came to know and appreciate the unique character, beauty, and traditions of the region.
As a guide, Zach brings enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine love for being outside. Whether helping clients learn, improve their skills, or simply enjoy a day in the field, he is focused on creating a rewarding and memorable experience rooted in the same outdoor traditions that first drew him to the Adirondacks.
Spencer – Guide
Spencer joins Adirondack Mountain & Stream with a lifelong passion for the outdoors and a deep appreciation for traditional outdoor skills, backcountry living, and wilderness travel. While newer to spending extended time in the Adirondacks themselves, he has quickly fallen in love with the region and is excited to continue exploring the Park while working toward completing all 46 High Peaks.
Born and raised in Western New York, Spencer grew up fishing and hunting throughout WNY and the Southern Tier alongside his father and grandfather. Some of his earliest memories outdoors began with a simple bamboo fishing pole, a handful of hooks, and a container of worms gathered by hand. From an early age, he was immersed in outdoor education through 4H and scouting programs, where he developed skills in canoeing, archery, tree identification, wilderness camping, primitive shelter building, water rescue, and backcountry travel. As a teenager, he became a First Class Scout and spent extended periods in the wilderness of places like Halliburton, Canada, while also serving as a counselor-in-training teaching younger campers archery, fishing, canoeing, and other outdoor skills.
Outside of guiding, Spencer spent over a decade building a career as a chef, working in several highly regarded restaurants in the Buffalo area before transitioning into private chef work. Although successful in the culinary world, he ultimately found himself pulled back toward the outdoors and the lifestyle that first inspired him growing up. Over the past several years, he has dedicated himself fully to bushcraft, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, and open-fire cooking while raising his two children alongside his wife.
Today, Spencer brings together both worlds—combining his background in outdoor education and wilderness living with his passion for cooking and hospitality. Whether around a campfire after a long paddle or deep in the backcountry pursuing trout and game, Spencer is happiest helping others experience the outdoors in a meaningful and memorable way.
Mitch joins Adirondack Mountain & Stream with a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, camping, and exploring the outdoors. Raised in Central New York, much of his childhood was spent chasing adventures outside—whether that meant days in the woods, time on the water, or summers spent traveling into the Adirondacks with family and friends. Over the years, those trips north turned into something more, building a deep connection to the mountains and wilderness that eventually drew him permanently to this side of the state.
Like many outdoorsmen, Mitch’s appreciation for the Adirondacks came from countless early mornings, long hikes, campfires, and time spent learning the woods firsthand. Hunting has always been a major part of his life, especially spring turkey season and big game hunting, but his interests extend across nearly every part of the outdoor lifestyle. Whether fishing quiet backcountry waters, setting up camp deep in the woods, or simply exploring new country, he’s happiest spending time outside and continuing to learn more about the places he loves.
For Mitch, guiding is about more than simply helping someone catch a fish or harvest an animal. It’s about sharing the excitement, tradition, and connection to the outdoors that first inspired him growing up. He enjoys helping others experience those same moments—the anticipation of a gobble at first light, the stillness of a mountain morning, or the feeling of success after a hard-earned day outdoors.
Now living closer to the Adirondack Park, Mitch is excited to continue building his knowledge of the region while helping guests experience everything that makes these mountains special.
Jim joins Adirondack Mountain & Stream with a lifetime of outdoor experience and a deep connection to the Adirondacks that began during childhood family camping trips to the region. Originally from Long Island, he later relocated to the Albany area while attending college and has remained close to the mountains ever since. Over the decades, Jim has explored nearly every corner of the Adirondack Park through backpacking, canoeing, hiking, skiing, and fly fishing adventures.
An avid fly fisherman, Jim especially enjoys pursuing brook trout in remote Adirondack ponds and has spent years traveling the backcountry waters of the Park. He is also an Adirondack 46er and brings an extensive knowledge of the region’s trails, waterways, and wilderness areas. In addition to his warm-weather experience, Jim has spent more than 25 years serving as an instructor at the Adirondack Winter Mountaineering School, teaching snowshoeing, winter camping, skiing, and ice axe and crampon techniques. A few years ago, he and two friends completed a rare 17-day through-ski of the Northville-Placid Trail.
As Jim wraps up a long career as a fisheries biologist with the NYS DEC, we’re excited to welcome him to the Adirondack Mountain & Stream team. His knowledge of Adirondack fisheries, wilderness travel, and winter recreation will help us continue expanding the kinds of experiences we’re able to offer our guests year-round.
